60th Birthday Celebration

Good Morning Family, Friends, Followers and Fellow Crafters,

Last weekend we celebrated my dad's 60th Birthday.  It was a lot of last minute planning, since I'm the only one of his children, who lives in the area but we got it done.  Big thanks to my bestie and sister-in-law for all their help.

My dad is a simple man, only requesting a backyard bbq.  Fine by me, but I needed to add a few touches.  I decided to reach out to my siblings and the grands to come up with 60 reasons why we love and appreciate him.  The result was an 18x24 board which will hold a group photo, in the center.  I never give a party without favors.  I searched high and low and finally found the perfect match.  It's an 8oz plastic soda can.  I created the Pepsi label (dad's FAVORITE soda) and easily inserted it in.  Filled the can with tissue paper and reese cups.  They were a a big hit!  Of course I had to make dad a shirt.  Didn't get a good pic but I will the next time I go over.

I'm currently working on a 90th Birthday celebration but I'll be back next week with a mini.album.  Thanks for stopping by!

Good Afternoon Family, Friends, Followers & Fellow Crafters!!!!!

Long time no post, eh? I haven't been able to craft since the first week of July, thanks to a pinched nerve, in my neck.  It's been an awful experience, with several trips to the doctor, various prescriptions and A LOT of sleepless nights. I sure did miss the use of my right arm and hand.  I am healing slowly but surely and was able to finish this birthday project with the help of my 15 year old, who I trained on the heat press, lol!!

I created a chip style bag invitation, using Silhouette Design Studio and placed the black t-shirt inside.  My client made my day as she and her daughter were thrilled with the results.

Be back real soon.  I really will because just before the pinched nerve, I had completed 3 mini albums.  Thanks for stopping by!

Month of Mini Album - Week 4

Good Afternoon Family, Friends, Followers and Fellow Crafters,

The month of May is over and the celebrations in my life have calmed down.  My power cord for my Surface died so I didn't get a chance to post the last album for May.  This is my son's 6x6 Everyday Life Album.  The tutorial is from Paper Phenomenon.

Paper Used is Say Cheese I and II by Simple Stories.

Thanks for stopping by.  Next week, I will hopefully share the resized 6x6 to a 10x10 album.  My pictures were shipped today and I am hoping for some Sunday downtime.

Month of Mini Album - Week 3

Good Morning Family, Friends, Followers and Fellow Crafters,

Now that my birthday shenanigans are over, it's time for this week's post.  This tutorial is also from Paper Phenomenon.  It's the Everyday Life Small Album (6x6).  I have a trio of albums to share in this series.  First up is album for my daughter from our Florida vacation 2 years ago.  Although the album is completed, I am sharing it before the pictures were added.

The paper used was Say Cheese II by Simple Stories.

Thanks for stopping by.  I'll see you next week with my son's version of the same album.

Month of Mini Albums - Week 2

Good Morning Family, Friends, Followers and Fellow Crafters,

I'm back this week with another mini album share.  The is the Everyday Life Medium Album (from Paper Phenomenon).  The paper used is Craft Smith's Sunny Dreams stack.  I haven't decided what to use this for, so the cover of the box and album are still blank.  The tutorial also comes with instructions to create a gift box that holds the album.

Thanks for stopping by!
