It's a SCANDAL over at Scraps of Color

Good Morning Family, Friends, Followers and Fellow Crafters,

I cannot believe it has been a month.  I really am trying to get better at posting, but life is truly busy with after school activities, rehearsals and more.  I am crafting in between though and enjoying it.  There is a SCANDAL over at Scraps of Color this month.  The digi images are courtesy of the very talented Robert Jackson.  Head on over to the gallery at Scraps of Color and check them out.

The first week we focused on Cyrus.

Last week it was all about Huck (he's one of my faves)

Stay tuned this week for  Jake.

Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT WEEK!

12x12 Layouts...

Good Afternoon Family, Friends, Followers & Fellow Crafters,

Another Craft-tober Fest is over and I had a blast.  This must be the first year I didn't stay up 24 hours in two consecutive days.  I came pretty close though.  I took some time to catch up on a few school album pages.  I was so encouraged to keep going that I made a deal to do at least 2 layouts a month until the school albums are caught up.  I have my accountability partner, Catina, to help me stay on track.

Here are a few pages:

Crop party favors:

One of the things I was so thrilled with, was this t-shirt for my daughter.  I saw this quote on Facebook and new I wanted it for her.  In two weeks she'll have basketball tryouts.  It will be her first time trying out.  She played great during intramural season, but this is a whole new ball game.
Lastly, I'm always trying to paint my fear away.  Yes, painting still scares me.  I just wanted a few thinking of you gifts to have on hand for just the right moment. I found wood cutting boards at AC Moore.  Too bad when I went back, they only had the smaller ones.  I love the concept I was going for.  What do you think?
As always.. Thank you for stopping by.  Have a GREAT weekend!

Customized TShirts

Good Afternoon Family, Friends, Followers & Fellow Crafters,

Just wanted to drop by and share my latest tshirt creation.  My friend Pam always allows me creative freedom, when she solicits something from me.  It took me while to come up with something relating to Girls with Dimples, but when I did, her 10 years old was in LOVE, with her new tee!!!

Wearable Art

Good Afternoon Family, Friends, Followers & Fellow Crafters,

I recently had four days of jury duty followed by two days of work and topped off with 5 days of sun!!  Now, it's time to get back into the Cafe and get some crafting done.  It is hard to believe that my Fall Craft-tober Fest Retreat is less than two months away...

Here are the onesis and tees I completed just before heading on vacation:

Summer Card Swap

Good Afternoon Family, Friends, Followers & Fellow Crafters,

I recently participated in my first card swap.  I was quite nervous about doing it because I've heard such swap horror stories.  We only had to come up with 2 summer themed cards and I thought, "I can handle this."  It was fun and for 2 weeks, I had my idea in my head and I finally got it together.

This digital image was created by Robert Jackson

Sizzix Pop 'n Cuts die help make this card stand out!

Everyone loves a party...FAVOR!!

Good Morning Family, Friends, Followers & Fellow Crafters!

One of my favorite things to do as it relates to event planning, is the party favor.  Who doesn't want a nice reminder of the event they attended?  Not just anything, but something practical that you will actually use and not let sit, collect dust or turn yellow.  I know I do.  When someone asks me to create a party favor, I seek out those types of reminders.

Here is my latest creation.  Attendees joined the Birthday Queen for dinner at home, then they all headed to the Kennedy Center to see the Lion King.  From what I was told, the event was a huge success and what I loved hearing... the party favor was a hit! On the back of each cup, was a guest's name.

Thank you for stopping by!

Graduation Day

Good Morning Family, Friends, Followers & Fellow Crafters!!

Last week I mentioned doing a video.  I really, really tried but it did not happen.  (1) I couldn't find my tripod, (2) no one was home to help me because I needed both my hands and (3) I couldn't stack enough miscellaneous items to hold the camera in the right place.  The entire process of trying to make it happen had me laughing at myself, out loud.

So, here is my labor of love, for my niece, who is graduating from high school today.  It's my first money cake.  I did take pictures of the process, so maybe I'll come back and post those soon.

Thank you for stopping by.

Father's Day

Good Morning Family, Friends, Followers & Fellow Crafters!!

I know Father's Day has come and gone, but I needed to deliver the goods before I could post. First, candy filled, 16oz reusable party cups.  Names are on the opposite side of the cup.

We had a nice Father's Day celebration at church on Saturday.  I was asked to make shirts for some of the children, who would be helping work.  Including my baby girl, who is a fish frying machine!
