Mother's Day Cards

Hello Family, Friends, Followers, and Fellow Crafters!!!

I just wanted to share my Mother's Day cards with you all.  It has been a long time since my Copic markers have seen some activity.  I"m having fun getting re-aquainted with them.  I need to get more colors. My 72 isn't enough.  LOL!!

I tried a different technique (recessed window card) that I found on Splitcoaststampers.  I always find great stuff their.  You really can't tell, but the stickles glitter looks much better in person than how it displays in photos.

Last week, Lisa challenged me to use card sketches from Mojo Monday, when I was in a pinch.  I took a look at the sketches and told her, no way.  I couldn't wrap my hands around them.  Last night, I decided to go for it.  Below are 3 cards I created based on their sketches.

And Lastly, 2 miscellaneous cards.  The good thing about all these cards (with the exception of the yellow shoe above) is they can be used for any feminine moment; Birthday, Thank You, Thinking of You, etx...

Thanks for stopping by!

Teacher Appreciation Gifts

Today is a special day... Teacher Appreciation Day.  I do not have enough words to describe how amazing teachers are, nor how underpaid.  This year, my daughter has 2 wonderful teachers who truly love what they do.  They make learning fun and challenging.  My son's teacher has to be one of the most relaxed teachers I have ever seen.  I cannot think of a time (this is the 3rd year she's taught on of my 2), when I've seen her frazzled.  So, to Ms. Lucas, Ms. Jones, and Mr. Muhammad..... YOU ROCK!!!!!!

I have spent the last week trying to finish up a few things.  Hmm, isn't that always my case? LOL! So once again, I conquered my fear of modge podge and paint and created the clipboards below.

These will actually be used in an Art Auction on Friday.

Teacher Appreciation Clipboards that include a collage of the class on the back.

Sometimes, my son rotates to another 2nd grade teacher for lessons
I think the other subject matter teachers get left out because they are not main teachers.  But they actually teach every student in the school.  This year, I made sure to include an appreciation gift for the Art, PE, Music, and Instrumental teachers.  Teacher Survival Kit Mini Paint Cans.

And finally, to help with the Art Action (at school) on Friday, I put together a diaper cake.  We have at least 2 pregnant teachers, and 6 Parents expecting this year.

Have a GREAT day ALL!! Thanks for stopping by.

Anniversary Celebration

Hello Family, Friends, Followers, & Fellow Crafters!!!

May 5th was National Scrapbooking Day and I could not think of a better way to celebrate than having friends over for a crop.  This month also marks my 10th Scrap~Versary!!!   Wish I had time to put up a timeline of some pages I've done over the years, so you could see my progression, but I figured I should not scare you all with those.

When I plan a party (no matter how small) I try to send everyone home with a favor.  I sent everyone home with a takeout order from Cassie's Craft Cafe!!! Decorated pizza boxes filled with some supplies I keep close by while crafting.  What's a takeout order without dessert?  I cut and assembled cupcake boxes to hold a chocolate on chocolate cupcake.  I had a blast and look forward to the next one.
