'Tis the Season

Good Morning Family, Friends, Followers & Fellow Crafters,

The Vendor Showcase is over and it is time for me to cool down for the rest of the year.  The showcase was GREAT and it was wonderful being in a space with great energy, friendly people, and an overall spirit of togetherness.  Special thanks to my sister Rica, for helping me setup up and Lisa for hanging out and working my table with me.  It was nice sharing this experience with her.  Also special thanks to my friends & co-workers who stopped through and purchased cards in the name of supporting me.  Love you guys!!!

Here is my table:

Here is a closeup of items on display:

I had this in purple and 4 people oohed and aahhed over it.  It finally left the table with admirer #6.

Can't forget about the teachers.

Personalized with Teacher's name on the opposite side.

Love these candles.  This was the first thing I sold out of in the first hour.  A customer bought all 3 and needed a 4th.

So, instead of me cooling down, as I mentioned, the Showcase actually geared me up with endless possibilities.  I already set a plan in place to get more cards done ahead of time beginning next month.  I'm looking forward to more events in the future.
Thanks for stopping by!

Fa-la-la-la, la-la-la-la...Christmas Cards

Hello Family, Friends, Followers, & Fellow Crafters,

Phew, another month has passed me by on blogger.   I have been busy in the Cafe, cooking up Holiday cards.  I pulled inspiration from everywhere, including my holiday music which I started playing a few days earlier than usual.

Here are this year's Holiday cards:

I pulled inspiration and sketch idea from:  Scraps of Color, Mojo Monday, Paper Crafts Magazine, & Pinterest.  I still have a few more cards cooking in the Cafe, so stay tuned.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by.

Hello Family, Friends, Fellow Crafters, and Followers,

I'd love to tell you that I had a crafty weekend but instead, I was doing homework.  You would think it was my assignment since I was full of idea once it was explained to me.  But, it was for my daughter.  She and I put our heads together and came up with what you see below.  Her assignment was to create a poster based on a poem she found.  Instead of looking for a poem, she wrote her own about her love for drama.  Not "bad" drama, but the "Art" of Drama.  That's her major at school.

The Theatre design was svg file found at the Silhouette Store.

Weekend Crop Wind Down

Hello Family, Friends, Fellow Crafters, & Followers,

I am on the final few hours of a 4 day weekend crop.  I am so proud of what I accomplished.  My initial plan was to fill in the holes of the kids' school albums.  I got most of it done, with the exception of 3 2pg layouts. That's only because I didn't have the right paper.  Yep, that's my story.  Here are some of the pages:

2 weeks ago as I was cutting coupons, I realized what a headache to find certain coupons because I had to lump so many categories together.  Then the light bulb came on.  I decided to make my own in the shape of an apron.  I am so proud since this is the first time I did a project for myself, during a crop.  Here are a few pages:

Lastly, I always set aside time to make cards and I am excited about these:

Getting a little crafty & organized...

Hello Family, Friends, Followers & Fellow Crafters!!!

Fall is here although last week it felt like summer.  No complaints here though.  I've been in a crafty mood lately and in two weeks I get to enjoy a weekend full of crafting.  It's way too early to pack, but I'm making progress.  I've ordered pictures, my Cutterpillar has arrived, and last night, I organized and purged my scraps.  My goal is to finish both kids school albums.  I think that may be a total of 14 LOs.  Phew, that is quite ambitious but if I get through 1/2, I'll be ok.

Here are a few things I worked on last week.  Sorry for the bad pics.  On my new laptop and photoshop is on the old one.

Birthday cards for my 2 nephews.  They had a skate themed party and are both into music.

I can't get enough vinyl!! My friend Pam wanted this shirt to wear to school to celebrate her grand's birthday.

Oh... tonight I created my first card template with my Silhouette Cameo.  It's for a Vertical Step Card.  I'm very proud of myself.  Hopefully, I'll be back in a few days to share the finished project.
Thanks for stopping by.

Something New....Steampunk

I have been enjoying the Monthly Progressive Challenges by Sassy Studio Designs, over at Paper Craft Planet.  I have always enjoyed their digis, but this month's challenge was just that for me.  The theme was Steampunk.  I had nothing on hand that I could use for Steampunk.  Wait, I found some old metal pieces, but they weren't right for the look I was going for.

a genre of science fiction that typically features steam-powered machinery rather than advanced technology

I'm very proud to have tackled something new, so here they are:

Hello Family, Friends, Followers, & Fellow Crafters!!!

I am still crafting, in the land of babies.  These were my last projects and they have been delivered.  I need to get back to finishing school albums.  Can't let the kids graduate high school before  I finish.  LOL!!

A good friend of mine wanted a card for her 2 year old grand daughter.  Elmo I could relate too, but I had to laugh when I needed to look up who Chica was.   Has it been that long since I've watched Sprout?  I couldn't figure out a way to get them on the same card so I made 2 cards instead.

Elmo is an .svg file and Chica was done, using the Cut & Print feature on my Silhouette Cameo.
I realized over the last 3 weeks how much I love making mini albums.  No matter how many times mod podge gives me a fit, I continue to use it.  I think it is partially the chipboard thickness and part user error.  When my pregnant friend asked me to make her a scrapbook as a gift, I was in the beginning stages of making her a mini album.  I had collected all the advice,  but that was all.  I put it away and started on her 12x12 album.  Now, it would have been easy just to add the advice as a 2pg layout, but in my heart, I really wanted the mini album.  I surprised her with it Sunday and she let out a huge scream and a big hug!!! Here are some of the pages:

Oh Baby!!!!!

Good Afternoon Family, Friends, Fellow Crafters & Followers,

This month and next month, I am setting aside time to organize.  Not just the Cafe, which by the way looks like Taz stopped by for a couple of visits, but organize bills, house, videos, pictures, and anything else out of order.  Trying to sneak in some projects between time.

I cannot believe my last post was July 1.  Where has the time gone?  I've been doing a few projects but haven't been able to post until those projects were delivered, sent out, and the event has taken place.  With that said, let me catch you up....

Created a baby album at the request of the Mother-to-be, as a gift for her shower.  Her text message request was full of love and laughter.

Belly Shots & Sonogram Pictures

Grandparents layout

I already have a gift in mind for said mommy above, but no baby gift is complete without personalized onesis from me.
1) My girlfriend always commented how cute it was that I always do pizza Friday with my kids.  She joked that she would do when she had children.  Her husband is Italian, so this is right up their alley.

2) You've seen this onesis before and the idea is courtesy of my friend Nicole over at Creative Delights by Nicole.

3) This file came from the Miss Kate Cuttables.

4) I found this idea on the blog of Denise Hill over at Paper Pastime.
A week later I was off to another shower.  This one I created the invitations for.  The theme was Little Man.

Fall is right around the corner and hopefully, that means more crafting.   See ya real soon and thanks for stopping by!

Crafty Catch-Up

Hello Family, Friends, Fellow Crafters, & Followers,

Why is it so hard to take pictures of your projects and post them?  In the last month, I've had two major functions happen and served up some nice creations for them both.  But alas, no pictures, no post.  I really need to try hard and get this done.  I'm going to cut myself a little slack, because I know how busy my schedule is, but I don't ever want to be too busy that I can't share.  Besides, this is my outlet, my little happy place among several happy places.

I'm trying to stockpile a few cards for different occasions, so these two birthday cards have been added to the collection.  The digi stamp in 'Boobie Love' (in honor of Breast Cancer) from Saturated Canary.  Because I like the image but the card wasn't cancer related, I erased the pink ribbon on her shirt.

Last week at work, we had our Employee of the Year Ceremony.  I look forward to this because my technical job collides with my crafty side.  The recipient chose blue has her color scheme, along with peonies and tulips.

Ceremony Program.  This is a cricut cut (not sure which cart)

Table Centerpiece.
I know nothing about flowers, but managed to get this together.

Thanks you for stopping by and taking the time to comment.  I hope to be back real soon with more to share!
