Scraps of Color Hearts & Roses Blog Hop

Happy Valentine's Day and Welcome to the Scraps of Color Hearts and Roses Blog Hop! I, along with some talented crafters, have teamed up to share Valentines and love-themed projects! Of course, Valentine's Day is all about sharing the love, and this hop is no exception! There will be giveaways on various blogs throughout the hop!

I am the first stop on the Hop, so let the sweet crafts begin!

Here are my projects:

Item #1:  Gift Bag.  I am having a lot of fun altering gift bags.  The Love paper is from DCVW.  The doily center shape and the XOXO banner is from MissKateCuttables.

Item #2:  Candy boxes.  I always try and do something for the kids to take to school.  This year, I cut boxes in the shape of a candy wrapper.

Item #3:  Valentine cards.

The Wiz Challenge #4: Dorothy & Toto

Hello Family, Friends, Fellow Crafters and Followers,

Continuing to ease on down the road at Scraps of Color with the Wiz Relay Challenge.  Robert Jackson is amazing.  Challenge #4:  Dorothy & Toto.  The project had to include: (1) yellow brick road, (2) bling, and (3) a diecut.

From the moment we started this challenge, I knew what I wanted to do with Dorothy.  I could see the hot air balloon and a new technique I wanted to try:  Card in a box.  I watched several videos on youtube, but decided for my first one, to use the simple instructions I found on Splitcoaststampers.

The paper I used is from the DCWV Linen Closet Stack.  This card folds down and will fit in an envelope for a 5x7 card.
Thanks for stopping by.

The Wiz Challenge #3

Hello Family, Friends, Fellow Crafters and Followers,

I am still having fun over at Scraps of Color with the Wiz Relay.  Robert Jackson is amazing.  Challenge #3 was the Scarecrow:  The project had to include a brick wall and a recycled household item.  My recycled items include the newspaper and a garbage bag.  Here is my entry:

Mojo Monday Tall & Skinny

I took one look at this sketch from Mojo Monday and thought, this should be a piece of cake because of the size.  About half way through, I laughed at myself and said, "What are you thinking?  You know small spaces scare you."  But what is a challenge, if you aren't really challenged?  Thanks Mojo Monday!!!

The Wiz Relay Challenge 2

Good Evening Family, Friends, Fellow Crafters & Followers,

I am easing down the road on Week 2 of the Wiz Relay Challenge on Scraps of Color.  This week's image is the Lion, drawn by Robert Jackson.   The rules were to include the word Courage, and at least one of the following:  (1) dry embossing, (2) jute, or (3) burlap.  Here is my entry:
