My daughter recently celebrated her 12th Birthday.  She and I decided that I would take her and 2 friends out for a girls day.  Nothing unusual and nothing I haven't done before, except, I decided to make it an all day event since they were out of school on a Friday.  What was I thinking????  A close friend of mine offered her theatre room for a segment of the day.  The party now jumped from 2 friends to 4.  My mind started spinning with goodie bag idea, craft projects for the girls, breakfast menus, movie selections, movie snack bags, and a few late nights pulling this together.  I even penciled in what time I wanted to be in bed when it was all said and done.  No matter what went wrong during the course of the day (and you know it did) when I got in bed, all I thought about was how my daughter and her friends had a GREAT time. It was a day filled with food, laughter, dancing, singing, ipods, looming bracelets and way too many snacks.  Now, on to my projects:

Full Table Spread.  The blue bags in front are the movie snack bags.  Each letter represents a girl, so the bags say:
Sijibomi's Snacks, Mel's Munchies, Carrington's Cravings, and Isys' Indulgences.

Altered Gift Bag.  Patterned Paper and Rose Ribbon is from Hobby Lobby's product line.

Prima Doll adorns the tag.  Colored with Copic Markers.

What's a cute bag with no goodies?  Inside the bag were large Sweet Tarts, Mini Clipboard, Large Clothespin, and a Skinny 16oz Tumbler.  The girls were extra excited about their tumbler.

Last but not least, a nice thank you card.  One parent said, how do the girls come with a gift and leave your house with one too.
The sketch is courtesy of Mojo Monday329

This post is also my favorite post of the week for the 'Anything Goes Bloggers Challenge" on Scraps of Color.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by.  Stay tuned for more projects and and have a GREAT weekend!

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday!!  I'm working on building my stash and birthday is the celebration I need most.  Here is my entry for this week's challenges:

Mojo Monday Sketch #328

Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge #148.  Use something old and something new! My something old is all the paper used.  I can't even remember what stack it's from.  My something new is my Prima Doll Stamp.  I've had it 4 months and just opened it last week.  My diecut is the Spellbinders label.

The Pink Elephant Challenge #233:  Requirements are 2 patterned papers, 1 border die/punch, and 1 heart.

Stay tuned this coming week.  I'm excited about participating in my first blog hop of 2014! Maybe I'll share the crazy story that lead to the blog hop project.  LOL!!

Have a GREAT week ALL!

Happy New Year!!!!!!

Happy New Year Family, Friends, Followers, & Fellow Crafters!!

It's been awhile but it is time for me to get back in action.  My mind has been racing with so many possibilities and goals that I have for this year.  One of the those is to participate in more challenges.  Gesh, it is a challenge for me to keep up with a challenge, but I'm going to try my best! So, with no further delay, here is what I have done this week:

One of my favorite blogs to get card sketches from is MojoMonday.  This week's sketch had my mind thinking of Valentine's Day.

Next, is a challenge from Die Cuttin' Diva's.  I decided to join in hopes of using my machines a little more.  The diamond and balloons are die cuts.

Lastly, I joined The Pink Elephant's "Thank You" challenge.

This week, my focus is shifting to a get together I am having for my daughter and 4 of her friends.  I told the girls, grab your purse and join us for a day with Ms. C.  So, a purse invite was just what I needed.

Thank you all for stopping by!  I appreciate your visit! Until next time, have a GREAT week.
